Description
Overview
Nuts provide the internal thread in a bolted joint. The nut must match the bolt or threaded rod size, pitch, material compatibility and required strength class.
This selected size is specified with thread M5.
Sold in multiples of '1 pieces. 1 Box = '1 pieces.
Material, Grade & Strength
A2 / 304 stainless steel provides good general corrosion resistance for outdoor, clean industrial and food-related applications. Use anti-seize where stainless thread galling is a concern.
Finish & Corrosion Protection
Stainless products rely on the corrosion resistance of the stainless material rather than a separate plated coating.
Typical Uses
Nuts are used with bolts, set screws, studs and threaded rod to create clamped joints that can be assembled, adjusted and serviced.
Technical Tips
- Match the nut thread size and pitch to the mating fastener.
- Use a compatible property class for high tensile bolts.
- Use locking nuts or thread locking methods where vibration is present.
- Use anti-seize on stainless-on-stainless assemblies where galling is a risk.
Selection Advice
Select the product by matching the thread, size, material, finish and function to the assembly. Avoid choosing only by appearance or a partial part number.
