Description
Overview
DIN7985 defines a self tapping screw style designed to form or cut its own mating thread in suitable materials. Self tapping screws reduce the need for a separate nut and are useful in sheet metal, plastics and light assemblies.
This selected size is specified with diameter M6, length 30 mm, thread M6, pitch 1 mm.

Finish & Corrosion Protection
Zinc plated (clear/blue passivated): Electroplated zinc, typically 5-8 um (ISO 4042). Economical protection for dry indoor and light outdoor use; white rust in neutral salt spray typically from ~24-72 h depending on passivate.
